  2. You'll be redirected to Microsoft's sign-in page

  4. Review the permissions Nix It is requesting and click Accept

Permissions Requested

Nix It requests the following permissions to function:

PermissionPurpose
Read and write mailAccess your emails, send on your behalf
Read and write calendarsView and create calendar events
Read your profileDisplay your name and email address
Mailbox settingsManage your email signatures
Maintain accessKeep you signed in between sessions

These permissions allow Nix It to sync your email and calendar, and to perform actions like sending emails and creating events on your behalf.

First-Time Sync

When you first sign in, Nix It will:

  1. Sync your mailbox folders — Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Archive, and custom folders
  2. Sync recent emails — Your most recent emails will appear in the Intake
  3. Sync your calendar — Events from the past 60 days and next 365 days

The initial sync may take a few moments depending on the size of your mailbox. You'll see items appearing in your Intake as they sync.

During the initial calendar sync, events are not automatically added to your Intake to avoid overwhelming you. After the initial sync completes, new events will follow your Calendar settings.

Enterprise Users

If you're using a work or school Microsoft account, your organization may require administrator approval before you can use Nix It. This is called admin consent.

If you see a message that Nix It needs admin approval:

  1. Your organization's IT administrator needs to approve Nix It
  2. See Admin Consent for detailed instructions
  3. Once approved, all users in your organization can sign in normally
